Wulp

Holiday home De Wulp was built in 1932 for the supervisor who was in charge of the afforestation of the Strijbeekse heathland. This nature resort is formed by a combination of lovely pine forest, century-old fields, some heathlands and enchanting fens (Rondven, Langven, Zwarte Goor and Goudbergven).

Special plant species grow around these fens, such as soft birch, peat lint, small cranberry, round sundew, heath, gentian, marsh club moss and great grass. There are also water birds around the fens such as the tree falcon, tufted duck, teal and grebe.

The Strijbeekse heathland, a famous smuggling area in the past, borders on the north to estate Hondsdonk and on the south of the Belgian estate Elsakker. Especially the history of the latter estate is interesting. In 1963 it became the property of a project developer who wanted to build villas there for Dutch tax evaders. This never happened and the Vlaams Gewest bought the area and gave it back to nature. Now the Strijbeekse Heathland and the surrounding estates are a loved cross-border walking and cycling area where you can even meet sheep herds.

Holiday home De Wulp is a home with a modern and stylish interior and with a large garden (with comfortable terrace), a spacious living room, very complete kitchen (oven, microwave and dishwasher) and a bathroom with bath tub. In total, there are three bedrooms of which one has its own patio.
