Tichelman

Beautifully situated in the picturesque landscape of the Achterhoek is Tichelman Farm, named after the occupation of the farm's original inhabitants: a ‘tichelman’ was a tile or brick maker. The farm dates back to 1869 and forms part of the Hackfort Estate. This is an oasis of peace and privacy, which also makes it a wonderful holiday destination. Tichelman is surrounded by meadows, where you have a good chance of spotting roe deer. The thousands of spring flowers on the estate, which herald early spring, are unique.

Flowers, insects, and birds, interspersed with authentic farmhouses and fields and flower-rich grasslands, characterise the Hackfort Estate. Nature and culture go hand in hand here, as the estate is home to several cultural and historical elements, both large and small. The heart of the estate, Hackfort Castle with its water mill, coach house, and historic vegetable garden surrounded by a unique park forest, reflects centuries of noble influence. The six-person holiday home features a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and dishwasher. On the ground floor there are 2 toilets, 1 of which is wheelchair accessible. The bedroom on the ground floor has a built-in bath and shower facility, a separate sink, and a double bed. The shower and sink are wheelchair accessible. In addition, the shower room is equipped with a bench and underfloor heating. On the first floor, there are 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds and a toilet. Both upstairs bedrooms have their own shower and laundry facilities. Bikes can be stored in the outdoor storage shed.
