Suite Baron Arend

Hackfort country estate is located on the Baakse Beek in the Achterhoek, a patchwork of grass, farmland and forest. It is an idyllic small-scale farming landscape with a rich history, formed by landlords, farmers and water. Here you will find historic farms, bulbous fields, flowery grasslands and a water mill.

The suite is located on the first floor on the left front side of the castle. The suite is furnished with a mix of modern and antique furniture pieces and is suitable for four people. There is a spacious living room with open kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. In addition, the suite has a spacious bedroom with box springs, an additional bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub. There is a separate toilet in the hall. From your bedroom you have a beautiful view of the driveway and the forecourt of the Castle. In addition, there is a spacious communal kitchen and dining room, intended for shared use, getting together and breakfast and possibly lunch, dinner or a meeting. Behind the castle is a terrace with garden furniture for guests.

There is more activity in and around the castle than just the holiday suites. For example, there may be an exhibition in the basement, a wedding in the main hall or a cultural event such as a classical concert. It may also be that nature work is being done on the estate. Close to the castle, in the former coach house, you will find restaurant Keuken van Hackfort, an ideal base for a cup of coffee or a delicious dinner. Of course, we try to coordinate all activities on the premises as well as possible. We do our best to inform you as well as possible about planned activities during your stay.
