The green shutters with white frame and a red surface indicate that holiday home Schuttekamp used to be part of estate Groot Ruurlo. This estate with castle was occupied by the noble van Heeckeren family and is now owned by the council. Castle Ruurlo is renovated to become the town hall.

The Achterhoek landscape is featured by oak trees, meadows and chopping bushes that run into old ash trees, the so-called round fields. These fields look English. They are higher than the paths as the farmers have sprouted sheep manure and heather sods here for years. They are commonly referred to as camps. These fields were mainly laid out on small hills that are called sand cover headers. Therefore, the boundaries of the plot sometimes run capricious and not perfectly straight. So, you can witness a “playful” landscape with forests, wooden walls, fields and flowery meadows with some beautiful castles.

In the beautiful area you find holiday home Schuttekamp. In this thoroughly renovated farm with modern furniture, where the classical elements have been preserved as best as possible, the very spacious living room (where the stable doors are replaced by large windows) and the luxury kitchen are situated in this part. There are three large bedrooms in the front of the home, of which one has an original fire place. On the first floor there are another three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, of which one with bath tub. Outside you have a spacious garden with shed and terrace.
