Description

A stone’s throw away from Rotterdam yet completely surrounded by nature. Holiday home Pad has a lovely terrace for enjoying the silence and birdsong in the evenings, and for stargazing. Here, you can enjoy the beautiful dune area of Voornes Duin near the beach entrance.

Voornes Duin has a varied landscape and is rich in nature. The many plant and animal species that are found here make it a unique dune area. Unlike many other dune areas, drinking water is not extracted here. As a result, damp and wet dune valleys still occur with many unique plants such as centaury, yellow rattle, hemp agrimony, parnassia, slender gentian, and various special varieties of orchids. Voornes Duin is also very much loved by birds. Nearly two-thirds of Dutch breeding bird speciess nest here. Would you like to see more animals? Then sit very quietly on a path crossroads at dawn or dusk. Who knows, you might spot a roe deer or hunting owl. A walk to the viewpoint in the Quackjeswater could lead to a rendezvous with the spoonbills. Would you prefer to explore the surroundings from the water? At the beach entrance, there is the possibility to kitesurf, for example. The beach club will serve you some of the most delicious drinks on the beach.

The four-person Pad holiday home has a cosy living room with a dining room and an open kitchen. Both bedrooms each have 2 single beds. For the little ones, there is a camping cot. The bathroom has a shower. The toilet is separate. Outside, the terrace is covered where you can lounge in luxury on the sofa. By using sustainable materials and modern techniques, Pad has as small an environmental footprint as possible.
