Meijersplaats

In the heart of the century-old, secluded estate Rheebruggen stands this lovely hall farmhouse named Meiersplaats. This farm is recently renovated and furnished as modern holiday home. This original 19^th-century farm offers much privacy, beautiful views and plenty of room for 8 people. You can use the complete yard. Apart from the farm with large shed you also find a fire area and a former shed. This latter shed has a separate and ambient furnished bedroom and bathroom. Privacy assured!

From the holiday home you can walk straight into nature. You find colourful meadows, rye fields full of cornflowers and lovely deciduous forests. Estate Rheebruggen is the best kept farm estate in Drenthe. Almost thousands of years of history can be seen in the landscape. On the estate there is a medieval moth hill, the remains of a medieval, wooden castle. The stately oak tree lanes and the winding pebble roads also contribute to the feeling that time has stopped at Rheebruggen.

In the nearby are you find lovely preserved ash villages like Uffelte, Havelte, Ruinen and Dwingeloo. The adjacent village of Ansen is also worth a visit. The National Parks Dwingelderveld and Drents-Friese Wold are around the corner and invite you to take a walking or cycling route through unique and varied landscapes. Towns like Meppel and Assen, with the extraordinary Drents Museum, are also close by. In the front home of the hall farmhouse you find the living room, with authentic wooden wall panels and beam ceiling. For the children there is a separate playing room. Adults can retrieve themselves in the upper room to read a book or to listen to music. The well-equipped kitchen with large dining table is the place to have cosy meals together. But this is also possible in the part where a robust table invites you to get together on warm or rainy days. On the ground floor there is also a spacious luxury bathroom with bath tub.

On the floor of the front home there are three comfortably decorated bedrooms (2 bedrooms with double bed and 1 bedroom with two single beds) and a second bathroom with shower and toilet. In the shed next to the farm there is a fourth bedroom with double bed and a private bathroom. The farm is located on a lovely yard, with plenty of space and privacy. A unique place in an unknown part of Drenthe!
