Keuterij 't Haantje

This beautiful situated small farm near Ruinen borders the unique National Park Dwingelderveld. The 4000 hectares connected heathland is the largest wet heathland in western Europe. Small farm ’t Haantje was built about 150 years ago. The last residents were small farmer Scheper and his wife and daughter. Small farmers cultivated a small piece of land and had some (small) cattle but were often not able to fully provide for their own livelihood. In addition, the small farmers worked as field workers or factory workers. Till 1964 the Scheper family lived here with 4 cows, 2 pigs, a little horse and 30 chickens.
The holiday home is close to the beautiful village of Ruinen.

The holiday home ‘t Haantje has a lovely garden with terrace and bike shed. The home only has one floor and has a unique lay-out. In the living room there are still the original bedsteads with a nice children’s playing corner. The open kitchen has a modern interior and is equipped with all comforts. There are 3 spacious bedrooms and a large bathroom with shower.
