Holtermans

The historic farm ’t Holtermans, disguised as exclusive holiday home, is situated on the lovely estate Nijendal at Olst near de IJssel. Forests, meadows and fields alternate each other.

On the west side of the Nijendal runs the Zandwetering across a length of more than one kilometre. This is a century-old canal that provides water supply to the area. Ice birds nest in the steep banks.

The forest policy is aimed on organic processes: no planting or chopping and the dead wood remains as much as possible. Wet meadows are stale and only grazed to reduce overgrowth so special vegetation as the myrtle bush has a better survival rate. The fields on the Hooge Kamp are cultivated in an ecological responsible way so the associated flora and fauna has a chance to recover. In the edges of the fields rare herbs as big as legousia speculum and arnoseris minima are found.

A lovely area to go for a walk or bike ride with the impressing Ijssel nearby.

Holiday home ‘t Holtermans is situated beautifully, surrounded by a spacious garden. The home has a modern and stylish interior and has two parts: the Oude Woonhuis and the Schuur. Six bedrooms and three luxury bathrooms are situated in the Oude Woonhuis. Via a glass corridor you reach the Schuur. Here you find a large living/dining room/kitchen (cooking island, oven, microwave and dishwasher), a very comfortable terrace and a lovely garden.
