Diekel

As if you are standing at the end of the world... Of course, that is not the case, but the beautiful Hazelbekke is indeed located at the end of the Netherlands. An age-old solid foundation and characteristic elements formed the basis for a modern holiday home. The location De Diekel is sublime, on the edge of the forest with a beautiful view over the rolling landscape.

The Diekel is located in the rural stream valley of Hazelbekke, near Ootmarsum. The typical Twente stream owes its name to the hazel trees that stand along the water. In the spring, enjoy orchids that colour the grasslands and stare at the stars in the evening, because it can get very dark. A place where you will never be bored because here you are in one of the most beautiful parts of Twente. There are various walking routes through this small-scale nature reserve. A visit to the Springendal near Ootmarsum offers you a versatile area where sources, streams and forests alternate. A trip to the nearby Ootmarsum is certainly worth it. It has city rights since 1300 and possesses an art-rich past. Workshops and cosy terraces determine the atmosphere. In addition to various museums, the old Roman Catholic church, which is still intact, can be viewed. But a day trip to Germany is also possible.

De Diekel is a restored old Saxon farmhouse. The house is tastefully decorated and suitable for 6 people. There is a cosy living room with kitchen that is fully equipped. On the ground floor there are also 3 bedrooms with no less than 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet.
