Description

Estate Zwaluwenburg; the transition between the high country of the Veluwe and the low fertile lands of the IJsselmeer. An area with plenty of forest that is perfect to be explored by bike or by foot. On the estate there are eight characteristic Gelderland farms. These farms originate from the 18th and 19th century. Each farm has something peculiar such as a baking house or a vehicle shed. There was already a building on this plot in the 13th century. The current manor dates from 1728. The manor is still privately owned. Together with the farms and surrounding landscape it forms a perfect unity of Flora and Fauna.

The management is based on cultural historical values, where agriculture and forestry go hand in hand. This is done in the best possible nature-friendly way. There is a medicinal garden where plants and herbs grow that can be used for natural medication of A. Vogel.
Bird species breed in the wooden walls, such as the warbler and the lesser whitethroats. In the park forest you can see various woodpeckers and also birds of prey.

Want to taste the area and culture? “Hanze” towns like Elburg, Hattem or Zwolle are around the corner from holiday home Boslust.

On the estate you find a forest guard home with thatched roof dated from 1843. This is renovated to become a comfortable holiday home for 4 people. Equipped with all modern comforts but still full of nice details like the original ceiling beams, stable windows and hay hatch.
On the ground floor you find a living room with wood fire, television, open kitchen and dining room (equipped with dishwasher, combi-oven and various electric devices). Downstairs you also find a bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower/toilet and washing basin.
You can reach the first floor via the open staircase in the living room. Here you find the second bedroom with two single beds and a cot.
Outside you can choose from two terraces and there is also a shed where you can park you bike for example.
