In the working shed where the machines were running once, the typing machines were rattling and the meetings were held, we can now find the spacious holiday home De Borkeld in Markelo. This beautiful home is located in heath reserve De Borkeld where vast heathlands, meadows, clay piles, fields and forests with pine and oak trees determine the surroundings.

The largest concentration juniper berries in the Netherlands grows here. The juniper berry (Juniperus communis) is by the way a conifer. The conical-shaped berries are processed in the jenever.

The land is surprisingly sloping; the highest top, the Friezenberg, lies at a height of 40 metres! Prehistoric burial hills and settlement sites were also found that are between 4,000 and 6,000 years old. In other words: a unique area!

Holiday home De Borkeld is special due to the previous function: a working shed. Here an ambient decorated holiday accommodation is created with a large garden (with comfortable terrace), a spacious living room with adjacent open kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher), two bathrooms (one with bath tub) and four bedrooms in total, of which one is a very spacious sleeping attic. Of course, there is an outdoor storage area. Plus, you can use the beautiful patio.
