Almost at the most south-west point of Friesland, near the IJsselmeer, lies Oudemirdum. In sloping green the land stretches itself poetically; Normandy in the Netherlands. Where the corn is waving, a cliff connects Gaasterland with the Ijsselmeer, Swans monitor the coast like guards and the majestic clouds, hanging still in admiration, watching everything.
In this spectacular decor, you find the unique situated holiday home De Boomvalk. This home is located in a varied old forest that is closed off for traffic. About two hundred badgers live in this forest area. Not that you will see these shy animals, the badger’s burrows are hidden well, but at the edge of the forest you can find their traces.
The village Oudemirdum (with excellent facilities) lies at the edge of the attractive Frisian lake district. Places that are part of the Eleven Towns tour such as Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Sneek and Sloten are about fifteen minutes away in the car. And the ambient Ijsselmeer town Lemmer with the largest water mill in Europe (Woudagemaal) about fifteen minutes away in the car.
In this beautiful area, where lush forests and sloping landscapes alternate each other, you can take a lovely bike ride or walk.
The home has an ambient living room, a practical kitchen (oven, microwave and dishwasher), bathroom and two bedrooms. The garden is spacious and has a comfortable terrace.
