Description

You do not have to know the language in Drenthe to understand on what type of path the holiday home An ’t Keienpadtien is situated. This unique home is surrounded by the forest, the heathlands and the fens of forestry guard Gieten-Borger.

 

Talking about fens, there are an amazing 26 fens! The largest, the Lunsveen, is a popular breeding spot for gout gulls. Another 70 bird species also breed in this forestry guard and there are adders and sand lizards. The sundew, a carnivorous plant, lives near the fens. Just as unique is the tree crown path in Drouwen. This is an exciting 23-metres high path that leads the visitors alongside the tops of the trees.

 

Forestry guard Gieten-Borger, with the imposing beech lanes and pebble roads, burial hills, dolmens, heathlands, and of course the authentic ash villages. Definitely worth a visit. The detached holiday home An ’t Keienpadtien is situated in a lush garden with, of course, a nice terrace. The living room is comfortable and equipped with all comforts, the kitchen, with large doors to the terrace, is luxurious and complete (for example with dishwasher). The bathroom and a single bedroom are also situated on the ground floor. On the first floor there are two bedrooms. Plus, you can use the chopping shed that is located in the yard.
