't Uusje

A few hundred metres away from the beach is Oostkapelle, where the former forest guard home ‘t Uusje is located. Oostkapelle is situated on the western corner of Walcheren (Zeeland).

This nature resort between Domburg and the Veerse Gatdam includes beautiful forests, rough pieces of North Sea dunes, stately lanes and exciting, winding paths, forest ponds and surprising views. It is praised by experts because of its special flora and fauna such as the daffodil, bosanemoon, fennel herb and ramson. The fallow deer are hiding in the oak trees in the dunes and it is a loved breeding area for mainly singing birds.
