't Slag

Holiday home ’t Slag in Ruurlo is situated in a small-scaled, old agricultural landscape. Between the meadows and fields you can see authentic Achterhoek farmhouses, often with a semi-thatched, semi-tiled roof with detached baking ovens, pumps and hay stacks. Impressing oak lanes, country roads and the Vordense Beek cut through the area.

The monumental farm ‘t Slag is located in this authentic landscape near estate Vorden. Church owls breed on almost all farm yards of the estate. In the old deciduous forests you can find the green woodpecker and the sparrow-hawk.  Many bird species live in the bushes including the nightingale and there are also dozens of deer in the area who come out when the sun goes down.

The typical Achterhoek landscape. Meadows, chopping bushes and oak tree lanes that run into old ash trees, the so-called round fields. These fields look English. They are higher than the paths as the farmers have sprouted sheep manure and heather sods here for years. They are commonly referred to as camps. These fields were mainly laid out on small hills that are called sand cover headers. Therefore, the boundaries of the plot sometimes run capricious and not perfectly straight.

So, you can witness a “playful” landscape with forests, wooden walls, fields and flowery meadows with some beautiful castles.

Holiday home ‘t Slag consists of two adjacent buildings; the Grote Boerderij and the Bijgebouw. The Grote Boerderij (suitable for 7 people) is all on the ground floor. In this stylish renovated part with modern furniture, the kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave) is equipped with all comforts. The spacious combines dining and living room has a playing corner for the children and the spacious bathroom has a bath tub. There are also four bedrooms, of which one is a single bedroom. Outside you can use the beautiful situated terrace and the garden.

The Bijgebouw (suitable for 4 people) has a dining room/kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher) in the ground floor that is directly connected to the spacious living room. There are also two bedrooms and a luxury bathroom (with bath tub) on the ground floor. Two more people can sleep on the vide. Outside you can relax on the comfortable terrace with adjacent garden. Plus, you can use a carport.
