Puntjan

Smuggling and poaching: that was the livelihood of the people in this border region between the Netherlands and Germany. The art was to do all this out without being spotted by the feared supervisors. The home Puntjan is named after one of these supervisors, but how this nickname came about is not known. Did he have a pointy nose? Did he poke the suspects with the end of his bayonet? Or did he use the expression: ‘final point!’ a lot. Who knows. So, a mystery home.

The area where holiday home Puntjan is built around the stream the Dinkel, near Oldenzaal with its weir shore and the little town of Beuningen, is featured by heathlands, sand dunes, old fields, meadows and various types of forests. A beautiful, diverse landscape, with exciting views and sometimes a sloping character. Beautiful places such as the artist village Ootmarsum and the historic German castle town Bad Bentheim are nearby and holiday home Puntjan is situated in this amazing area.

The home has an intimate atmosphere with a modern interior that matches the style of the home. The combined sitting and dining room/kitchen (oven, microwave and dishwasher) is situated on the ground floor. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, as well as the bathroom (with bath tub). Outside you can relax on the comfortable terrace with adjacent garden. Plus, you also have a garage.
