Description

Holiday home Klein Spriel is an authentic Veluwe farm with thatched roof, with the characteristic bar doors and bar windows and green-white shitters. It is carefully hidden, as a well-kept secret, in the Speulderbos on the north-west part of the Veluwe. This is one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands. The large heathlands and a number of prehistoric burial hills are characteristic for this forest.

 

The Speulderbos has a lot of dead wood of oak and beech trees.  This ensures for much animal live and a rich growth of fungi and mosses. The Speulderbos has therefore plenty of food so a lot of big game animals can live here such as red deer and wild boars. Other animal species in this area are the badger, pine marten and the smooth snake and birds of prey like the hawk and wasp dive. You can observe the animals from behind the game observation screen. A great experience!

 

In the authentic holiday home Klein Spriel with modern furniture, a lot of original elements are kept. The former hay attic and horse stables are now bedrooms. The fire place, the old uprights and original beams determine the picture of the beautiful interior. The large kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, oven, microwave) is next to the stylish living room. There are two bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath tub, plus there are four double bedrooms, two terraces (one inside) and a spacious garden.
