Luckily you can stand up in the other parts of “Hoens Huusie”, plus this special, compact, authentic home is equipped with all comforts.

National Park Weerribben; where the encounter between water and land has created an indescribable beautiful nature resort. In the middle of this green marsh landscape “Hoens Huusie” is located behind spider head mill the Wicher. Through the many years of excavating peat for peat extraction a vast marsh area is created here; alternated with reed and hay fields. This is the home of many birds, such as the purple heron and brown marsh harrier. It can be bit marshy at some place due to the low location. Rubber boots are very handy. As all our homes “Hoens Huusie” is unique: you can relax in front of a crackling wood fire, have a lovely meal at the kitchen table and stay the night in a cosy bedstead.

The original own character of Hoens Huusie continues outside: a Canadian canoe is waiting for you at the private quay. Want to take a bath outside? You can do this in the Dutch tub: an original wood fired bath tub with a natural heat circulation system incorporated in the walls. This can be used during any season!
