From your living room in holiday home De Bosuil near Gees (Dr.) you can see the deer walk. This former working shed is namely situated in a central place in forestry guard Gees. It is a lovely area mainly with deciduous forest but also pine forest, alternated by a number of lovely fens and two heathlands; the Mekelermeer and the Hooge Stoep. Apart from deer you can also find badgers and forest owls here and you might see the crane bird, spoonbill or stork!

This small-scaled forestry guard is slightly situated higher than its surroundings so a beautiful view arises across the lower situated open meadows with illustrious names like Mepper Hooilanden, the Bergstukken, the Oude Maden and Roonboom.

Gees is a beautiful preserved ash village that does not give way to its ‘big’ brother Orvelte. In Gees you can across the largest drifting peddle of Drenthe. This is almost four metres long and more than two metres high!

In this very special holiday home, with modern furniture, the open kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave) is next to the large combined dining and living room. The living room has no less than 6 large terrace doors. There are two bathrooms, of which one has a bath tub. There are also five bedrooms and a spacious terrace.
